The first volume, issued in 14 numbers, 1677-80, covers smithing, joinery, carpentry and turning. Numbers II-XIV have special t.p's. The second volume, in 24 numbers without special t.-p's, deals with the art of printing.
First published 1649 under title: The English improver, or A new survey of husbandry., Pages 265-270 erroneously numbered p. 752, 258-262., and Title on two leaves, the first engraved, with ornamental border, the second (beginning "All clearly demonstrated") printed.
