Fidel Castro and President Osvaldo Dorticós would also preside over the inauguration of the week-long convention. With the exception of frames 35, 36 and 37 of row three, which depict Fidel Castro giving a televised address to the nation on "Ante la Prensa," the remaining images show an entertainment spectacle staged at a dinner for ASTA participants.
