Gift of Kay O. Marshall, 2008., Materials were created by the donor's great-aunt, Ida A. Pyland, and maintained by various family members over the years until they were offered to Professor Lillian Guerra of the Yale History Department, who urged their donation to Manuscripts and Archives. The donor's grandmother, John, was one of two sisters to Ida Pyland.
