On April 27, 1915, she was torpedoed by Austro-Hungarian submarine U-5 under the command of Korvettenkapitän Georg Ludwig Ritter von Trapp, patriarch of the Von Trapp Family Singers. Of the 821 men on board, only 137 survived.</dc:description></oai_dc:dc>
