Script: the main text copied by one hand writing Gothico-Humanistica Cursiva Libraria. Corrections in a more rapid form of the same script. The series of essays are in late Humanistica Cursiva. The main text has pale red headings, red stroking of the majuscules, and 3-4-line plain red initials, sometimes with interior reserved shapes at the beginning of the chapters, with guide letters.
Angelo Galli (c. 1390-1459), Operecta in laude dela bellezza e detestatione dela crudeltade dela sua cara amorosa del signor duca Fernando. The author was a poet and soldier in the service of the court of Urbino. The very numerous and extensive corrections in a hand close to, but not identical with, the scribe's hand obviously prove that this is a working copy corrected by the author himself. The manuscript also includes a series of essays for the beginning of an epitaph in Italian verse; some readings are uncertain.
Binding: 16th century limp parchment binding, sewn on three leather thongs. The long inscription on the front cover is hard to read.
