Printmaker formerly identified as George Towshend, but Sheila O'Connell attributes the print and its publication to Mary Darly.
See curator's note in British Museum online catalogue: The print was attributed to Townshend by Stephens, but that is no longer accepted. The style, especially of the lettering, is close to that of other anit-Bute prints published by Mary Darly, c.1762.
