A balding lady on horseback in Hyde Park's Rotten Row loses her tête or head-dress to a gust of wind, as her horse bolts toward the right. Two other horsemen as well as a gardener and other passers-by debate the identity of the fallen wig which is decorated with ostrich plumes in the fashion of the period
