Abstract: A dandified young man carrying muff and walking stick is met by a portly older bewigged gentleman (possibly his father or an innkeeper) before an inn. The young man is followed by 3 porters carrying baggage, including 2 sailors the last carrying 2 pistols. The inn's signboard depicting a tree with a face in it, is inscribed below with the name Bullock. In the courtyard behind a man is visible having emerged from a sedan chair
