The surface of their saddles is covered with large projecting spikes. Lord North, holding a roll signed, "Taxation" under his arm, has lost his stirrup and holds on to the saddle of his fast trotting horse with an expression of anguish. Fox behind him holds a roll signed, "Coalition."
