The members, in their official costume (see BMSat 9198), flee in wild confusion. Officers (right) stand behind Bonaparte; a little drummer fiercely beats a drum inscribed 'Vive la Liberte'. A tricolour flag is inscribed 'Vive le Triumverate Buonaparte Seyes-Ducos'. All are caricatured except Bonaparte, who is calm and dignified, though with (dagger) wounds on face and arms.
