Abstract: Manuscript retained copy of a bill of sale containing a household inventory of the contents of Seaton Delaval Hall, sold by Sir Francis Blake Delaval to his younger brother in return for an annuity. The household inventory is particularly complete and includes listings of furniture, decorative items, household equipment, and plate for approximately forty rooms of the hall. "Pictures" are counted but not described.
