A Chinese boy, who is missing his right leg, poses for a photograph with his crutches in front of a painted background. The painting gives the illusion that he is standing in front of a bridge on a body of water surrounded by mountains. A note in the album sleeve of this photograph states that he was "The Telephone Boy". Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. This photo is from the papers of Elizabeth H. Falck, a member of the American Church Mission (ACM) in Shanghai, China (ca. 1923-1929).
