15. "The French Bridge from the Canton side, across the 100 foot canal separating Shameen from Canton, after the parade of June 23. In the vicinity of this bridge, machine guns here brought into action on June 23." A line of students marching down a street, all dressed in white, some carrying flags. Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. Photo relates to the Shameen incident of June 23, 1925, part of a nationwide series of strikes, protests, and demonstrations precipitated by the killing of 13 labor demonstrators by British police in Shanghai.
