Description
6. On apporte les bambous pour construire la case ("Bringing the bamboo to build the house"). Over twenty men pose while holding very long bamboo poles vertically in the air. In the background, men stand upon large mounds of palm branches and other materials in preparation to build a house. Postcard issued by Mission des Pretres du Sacre-Coeur de St-Quentin. Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the mission agency: "Procure de la Mission du Cameroun: 214, Rue Lafayette, Paris (Xe)" and a printed address of the publisher: "Edit. M. Brochard. 81, quai Fosse - Nantes" The Missionaries of the Sacred Heart were a Catholic religious order.
