Description
A seated missionary sister holds an orphan baby while posing with sixteen other orphan children who sit or lie on the ground. Another woman sits at the opposite end of the image also holding an orphan child. Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. The back of the postcard is blank and contains a printed title "(22) Creche Des Soeurs Du Saint-Esprit A Yaounde (Cameroun)" ("Crib Of the Sisters Of Holy Spirit in Yaounde") and information about the mission agency "Edite par <>, Revue mensuelle, 30, rue Lhomond, Paris (5e), 10 fr. par an. Ch. post. 1718-45, Paris". Les Soeurs Missionnaires du Saint-Esprit au Cameroun was a women's Catholic religious order.
