The back of the postcard contains a handwritten note in French along with a printed title: "MISSIONS DES OBLATS AU CAMEROUN ET AU TCHAD, Sare Mattakam" ("MISSIONS OF the OBLATS IN CAMEROUN AND CHAD, Sare Mattakam") The Missionnaires Oblats de Marie Immaculée was a Catholic religious order.
