The back of the postcard has a handwritten note in French and contains a printed title: "23. MADAGASCAR - Devant l'Eglise un Dimanche" ("In front of the Church one Sunday"). The back also contains printed information about the mission agency: "Pour <> - 79, Avenue de Breteuil, Paris XVe. Ch. post. 567-39 Paris".
