In the foreground, two smiling young children sit on a wide grass mat and eat rice from bowls. In the background, five women are pounding grain in large concrete mortars with long poles and gathering it into baskets. Postcard issued by the Congregation des Soeurs de Saint Joseph de Cluny, 21, Rue Mechain, Paris. The back of the postcard is blank and contains information about the publisher: "Helio Aulard, Iung et Cie, Paris".
