Description: Algerie et Kabylie - Kabylie - Ouvroir de tissage haute-laine - Les ouvrieres nouent avec dexterite chaque brin de laine separement et copient ainsi habilement le dessin au chatoyant coloris. ("Algeria and Kabylie - Kabylie - Sewing room of weaving high-wool - the workers separately tie with dexterity each wool bit and thus skillfully copy the drawing with sparkling colour.") A missionary sister and four young indigenous women pose while at work on various weaving-related tasks: one spins wool, two work at an upright loom, another sews detail into an almost finished rug.
