Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. Le corail blanc, cuit au four, a donne la chaux. (Hienghene). ("The white coral, cooked with the furnace, makes lime. (Hienghene).") Ten indigenous men with shovels stand on a large pile of white coral. In the background other men are continuing the construction of a large stone building. The postcard was issued by the "Missions Maristes de Nouvelle-Caledonie," a Catholic missions agency. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information from the publisher: "Sous-Procure des Missions - 6, Rue de Bagneux, Paris-VIe."
