Tahiti - Ecole des Jeunes Filles de Papeete. ("Tahiti - Girls School of Papeete.") Forty-six women and girls of various ages pose in five rows for a photograph. Some seem to be European, others Tahitian.
The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Societe des Missions Evangeliques, 102, Boulev. Arago, Paris." The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.
