Description
A group of five indigenous men hold up the end of a log while a missionary father measures and marks the end of the log with a pencil. They are preparing the log to be cut into lumber for a building project. Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. The back of the postcard is blank and contains a printed title: "MISSIONS D'OCEANIE - Un missionnaire constructeur." ("MISSIONS OF OCEANIA - A missionary manufacturer.") The back also contains information about the publisher: "Edition de la Propagation de la Foi -- Paris (7e) 5, rue Monsieur C.C.P. 618.25 - Lyon (2e) 12, rue Sala, C.C.P. 72-7."
