Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. An indigenous person is posed outside dressed in a traditional costume. A thatched hut can also be seen in the distance. The back of the postcard has a handwritten message in French and contains information about the Catholic mission agency: "Soeurs de la Charite de Jesus et de Marie, Gand", and also the caption: "34- Congo, Kasai. (Tribu des Bakwa Mputu). 1e ou _ personnification de l'esprit d'un defunt - fait son apparition au villiage." ("personification of the spirit of a deceased - made its appearance in village") The back of the postcard also contains information about the publisher: "Ern Thill Bruxelles"
