Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. Lukulu (Haut-Congo) - La Lessive. Lukulu (Opper-Congo) - De Wasch. ("The Laundry") A group of women and children are outside washing their clothes on wooden tables. There are large jars and bowls under the tables. A missionary sister is standing near some of the women, and there is a brick thatched roof building behind the women. There are other buildings made of brick in the distance. The back of the postcard is blank and contains information about the Catholic mission agency: "Postulats des Soeurs Missionnaires de N.-D. d'Afrique. (Soeurs Blanches) Herent (Br.) - Thielt (Fl. Oc.). Postulaten der Zusters Missionarissen van O.L.V. van Afrika. (Witte Zusters) Herent (Br.) - Thielt (W. Vl.)." There is also information about the publisher: Ern Thill, Bruxelles."
