One tramples over a bed of tulips to the horror of two ladies who stand in the doorway (right) and an old man in a night-cap who leans from a first-floor window. The house, like the walled garden, is old-fashioned with mullioned windows, an aged vine against the wall, and an attached glass hothouse. In the background a gardener drops a flower-pot in consternation. Beyond the wall is a church among trees.
