Behind his chair against the wall is a table of the 'Droit de l'Homme'; beside it hangs a tricolour flag. He wears (correctly) a plain black suit over which is a tricolour scarf. On the table is his round hat with small tricolour scarf and tricolour feather. On the sides of the table are partly visible the fasces which were an emblem of the Republic.
