Christain Wagner. Corpl. Co., G. 9th N.Y. Cav. age 20 was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l. Hospital, April, 5th, 1865, with an amputation of the thigh performed in consequence of gun shot wound received at Petersburg, Va, March 31st. When admitted the patient was doing well and continued to do well until the night of April, 14th when symptoms indicating the approach of tetanus made their appearance these symptoms disappeared under the application of sulphte of morph to the wound and its administration by the mouth. The wound is now, May, 1st, healing kindly.
