A fat man, losing hat and wig, holds the head of the kicking horse, at which a dog leaps fiercely. The women are his very fat wife and two comely daughters dressed for an outing; a parasol, bottle, and bundle in a knotted handkerchief lie beside them. The scene is a rough track over a heath. In the air is a balloon much tilted, a man and two flags are in the basket.
