He depicts a London street scene in which the half the buildlings are in flames as the political factions either stir the flames or are battling to extinguish them. The fire is the Seven Years' War and the houses, Germany and France; the two men clasping hands are France and Spain who had recently joined in the fight against EnglandTitle etched below image.Second state as described by Paulson, with 'HERMIONE' and the door and doorway to the house with the burning globe have been darkened with added seriese of diagonal lines.
