Description
“Départ d’un missionnaire pour la brousse.” Robust porters transport a missionary father and his belongings in a litter, to his mission post in the district. A group of men carrying vessels on their heads are shown following along. The inset shows a mother with a child carried in a back sling. The following information is printed on the back of the postcard: "Edition Henri Georges, Bruxelles.” There is no handwriting on the back. The card is from the series: “La Croisière Bleue. Sub tuum praesedium confugimus Santa Dei Genitrix. Record Mondial 37.526 Km. Paris ̶ Le Cap ̶ .”
