“India – Series V ̶ 20. Monumento eretto a Caunpore sul pozzo nel quale nella rivoluzione del 1857 furono gettati vivi donne e bambini inglesi.” An angel monument marks the site of the remains of British women and children after Kanpur massacre in 1857. The following information is printed on the back of the postcard: “IL Pontificio Istituto Delle Missioni Estere promuove la propagazione della fede e della civiltà in dieci vaste Missioni dell’ India, dell’ Indocina e della Cina. Sede generale: Milano (6-43) – Via Monterosa 81 – Telefono 40-115.” There is no handwriting on the back.
