Scribal manuscript, on paper, in a single unidentified hand, in italic, containing the texts of 47 poems by Thomas Carew, some of which have corrections in his hand. Corrected texts include "A Rapture," "To Ben Johnson," "Lipps and Eyes," "To the Countess of Anglesey," and "An Elegie on the La: Pen:." Most of the poems in the volume are lyrics, sonnets and dialogues addressed to "Celia," but the volume also includes "To Saxham" and a group of elegies.

Binding: contemporary limp parchment, gilt; central gilt lozenge within a single line frame. Two tie holes in each cover.

Text block foliated 1-47 in a contemporary hand, but with an unnumbered textual leaf between 1 and 2. Blank leaves at the beginning and end of the volume.
