Three ancient Roman objects, each with Roman numeral numbering above. These include a Roman bulla (I); a miniature of a Roman lady and her son, the boy with a bulla at his neck (II); and a Calcedonian stone that was used as an ornament to a horse of a triumphal chariot (III). The objects on which this image is based were part of the collection which Conyers Middleton acquired in Rome in 1723-4 and sold to Horace Walpole in 1744
