This is a transcription of the two Maitreya sutras, The Scripture for Maitreya's Life in Tusita Heaven and The Scripture for Maitreya's Birth on Earth, written with silver on indigo-blue paper. Forty percent of The Scripture for Maitreya's Life in Tusita Heaven is missing, and that must be the reason why the book is entitled just as Mirŭk hasaenggyŏng, or The Scripture for Maitreya's Birth on Earth on the cover. The paper is not dyed evenly for some parts are lighter or deeper in color. There are a lot of mistakes made in the transcription, many characters are erased and re-written.
