Photograph albums of Yellowstone National Park views

Two discrete albums containing photographs created by Truman Ward Ingersoll of locations in Yellowstone National Park with images probably created during 1884-1885. Images include views of geothermal and geological features, rivers, lakes, and structures within the park. Several images depict the same group of three men that probably includes Ingersoll on horseback and with a wagon. Other images show tourists with packhorses and horse-drawn wagons, and a man wearing snowshoes and holding a long wooden pole on a snow-covered landscape

Images of geothermal features in the Lower Geyser Basin include Artesia Geyser, Excelsior Geyser Crater, Fountain Paint Pot (also known as Mammoth Paint Pots), Great Fountain Geyser, Steady Geyser (also known as Black Warrior Geyser), and White Dome Geyser. Images of the geothermal features in the vicinity of Mammoth Hot Springs include Cleopatra Spring, Coating Spring Terrace, Jupiter Terrace, Liberty Cap, Minerva Terrace, Pulpit Terrace, and the dome formation of the Beauty Spring. Images of geothermal features in the vicinity of the Upper Geyser Basin include Beehive Geyser, Castle Geyser, Crested Pool (also known as Diana's Pool), Giant Geyser, Grotto Geyser, Oblong Geyser, Old Faithful Geyser, Punch Bowl Spring (also known as Devils Punch Bowl), Riverside Geyser, and Sponge Geyser. Images of other geothermal features in the park include Monument Geyser in the Monument Geyser Basin and Sulphur Spring near Sulphur Mountain, in addition to Monarch Geyser and New Crater Geyser in the vicinity of the Norris Geyser Basin

Images of geological features include Cathedral Rock, Electric Peak, Mount Schurz, and Obsidian Cliffs. Images of valleys include Golden Gate Canyon, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, and Yellowstone River Valley

Images of structures include the Mammoth Motor Inn (also known as the Mammoth Springs Hotel); a group of men posed outside the Marshall Hotel (also known as Marshall's House or Fire Hole Hotel); and a wooden trestle for a wagon road on Cathedral Rock. Images of roads and trails include the Yellowstone River Trail and the bridle trail to the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River

Waterfalls include the Crystal Falls (also known as the Crystal Cascades) of Cascade Creek; Kepler Cascades of the Firehole River; Osprey Falls (also known as Middle Gardiner Falls) on the Gardner River; Gibbon Falls and Virginia Cascade of the Gibbon River; Rustic Falls of Glen Creek; Tower Fall on Tower Creek; and Upper Falls of the Yellowstone River and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River (also known as Grand Falls of the Yellowstone River).
