Abstract: Photograph album containing 26 views of the West and the Union Pacific Railroad, probably distributed by C. M. Loomis, dealer in musical merchandise in New Haven, Connecticut. The album contains advertisements by other New Haven businesses on the front pastedown and versos of almost every photograph. The First leaf of the album is a photograph of C. M. Loomis by J. K Bundy. Other businesses represented are: Henry Austin, Architect; Wheeler & Wilson; J.N. Isbell & Co., Photographers (with a mounted portrait photograph); R.C. Russell, Architect (with a mounted photograph of a building); and John E. Bassett & Co.
Description: The photographs of the west are reduced images from Andrew J. Russell's The Great West Illustrated.
