Description
Campaign of 1781, June 10 - September 27, 1781. Series of 34 manuscript plans, entitled "Amerique Campagne 1781 Plans des differents camps occupes par L'Armee aux ordres de Mr. Le Comte De Rochambeau." 35 pages, folio, the maps in pen and ink and colors; color key on the title. Attributed to Louis-Alexandre and Charles-Louis Berthier. It should be noted that a similar collection of plans, for the period of July 1 - Dec. 2, 1782, is in the Library of Congress (described in Phillips, List of Geographical Atlases, Vol. I, pp. 734-736).
