The scribe's knowledge of Latin was defective.The illustration consists of two maps and numerous profiles of coastal landmarks, all in coloured pen and ink drawings. The profiles are copied from the woodcuts in the printed edition.Binding: contemporary Dutch parchment binding, gold-tooled. On the flat spine the handwritten inscription in Southern Gothica Textualis: “Carta del navigare del mare Oceano”.
