Manuscript, on paper, in cursive script, produced in England in 1586. The text is an examination of the confessions of the conspirators in the plot against Queen Elizabeth, including of John Ballard, Anthony Babington, John Savage, Robert Barnewell, etc. It contains copies of two letters from Babbington to and from Mary Queen of Scots and discusses the role of Mary Queen of Scots in the conspiracy

On the front of the vellum wrapper is the name "John Rigbye barrister, Cliffordes Ynne."
Bound in a parchment bifolium from an early thirteenth-century English Latin manuscript of the Digest of Justinian, with the glossa ordinaria of Accursius in the margins, along with some later commentary in an Anglicana script.
