Photographs of activities of both passengers and crew aboard the steamers Matsonia and Manoa, and of scenes around Honolulu, Hawaii. On Hawaii, sugarcane and rice fields are depicted, along with views of a lumber mill with a flume, native grass houses, pineapple field laborers, and volcanic rock formations. There are also views of cottages where the travelers stayed, a Mormon temple in Oahu, Mt. McKinley High School, the Puna School House, and the Mid-Pacific Institute
