Illuminated manuscript on paper of Iskandarʹnamah by Niẓāmī Ganjavī, comprising Sharaf namah-i Iskandari (The Alexander Book of Honor) and Iqbal Namah (The Book of Happiness). The columns of poetry are ruled in gold. The text is ruled throughout with several bands of gold, blue, and red lines. In the margins, an anonymous poem runs the length of the manuscript

Colophon indicates the manuscript was copied by Ahmed Mujtabā (أحمد مجتبى) on Dhu al-Hijjah 1249 H / April 1834.
Romanization supplied by cataloger.
Layout: Double columns of 16 lines, with contemporary marginalia throughout.
Script: Nasta'līq.
Decoration: Ten miniatures depicting scenes from the text (ff. 14a, 17a, 26a, 42b, 51b, 60a, 76b, 88a, 103b, 110b). Headpiece (f. 1a). Rubrication. Marginal poem is ruled throughout with several bands of gold, blue, and red lines.
Binding: Contemporary Morocco, gold-tooled.
