Photographs probably created and collected by Martha Coon Robinson depicting individuals and locations in Provincetown, Massachusetts, ca. 1920-1940. The collection is accompanied by a letter from Joyce Tager, previous owner of the photographic prints and occupant of the former home of Susan Glaspell, to Gail Cohen, September 2004
Views include the bookstore of Edwin Meade "Ted" Robinson, the home of author and playwright Susan Glaspell, the home of author John Dos Passos, and properties of the Mayo family, in addition to a copy photograph of Lewis Wharf, where the Provincetown Players theatrical troupe staged their productions. General views show the docks and wharfs in Provincetown, and several images show individuals digging for clams on a beach. A postcard photograph depicts a drawing of the Highland Light lighthouse
Events documented in the images include a parade of The Beachcombers Club, including floats and a naval marching band, circa 1925, and the running aground of the sailing vessel "Palestine", September 1940
