With two small letterpress notices printed on green paper and pasted at the bottom of the image on the front and on the verso above the aperture that contains the lace and cotton samples.
On reverse: Royal patent for Geo. Fred. Urling & Co. Thread Lace Manufacturers to the Royal Family and to her late Majesty. By special appointment. At top of image: Retail House for Urling's lace. Also two red wax seals below aperture.
A letter addressed to 'Madam' describing the copy and the quality of its work with attestations from the Royal family.
With three blind offical stamps on lower edge.
The bifolium has been cut, so in two leaves.
On reverse: Royal patent for Geo. Fred. Urling & Co. Thread Lace Manufacturers to the Royal Family and to her late Majesty. By special appointment. Also carrying two red wax seals. For further information, consult library staff.
