Binding: Of undetermined age. Half light brown leather over original (?) unbevelled wooden boards, the leather decorated with fillets in a geometrical checkered pattern. Spine with four raised bands. Modern parchment pastedowns covering the inner half of the boards.

Manuscript on paper, copied from an exemplar the final part of which was in disorder. The inner and the outer bifolium of the quires are strengthened with parchment stays. Copied by one hand writing an imperfect Humanistica Textualis with a relatively large number of abbreviations, incomplete word separations, hesitations, errors and corrections making reading sometimes difficult in spite of the formal character of the writing.
On the rear leather inner board the armorial bookplate with the device Imitare quam invidere of the Albert H. Childs, Yale '61, Memorial Collection at Yale University Library.
Spaces and guide-letters for initials (3-line on ff.1r and 2r, the others 2-line); the initials are not executed.
