Initials in red, blue, and gold. One full-page illustration of a falcon and the instruments used to cure various maladies on f. 45r. Several marginal flourishes and sketches (most often of birds), apparently by scribe. Rubricated.
Manuscript on parchment of Artelouche de Alagona, Traite de fauconnerie, composed 1443. Gothic bastarda script. Signed and dated by scribe/illuminator, colophon on f. 50v reads: Cy finist le libre artelouche lequel a este escript et illumine par moy vincent philippon lan grace mil cccc et quatre.
Souhart, Bibliographie Generale des ouvrages sur la chasse (Paris, 1886), p. 6. This text was printed several times between 1567 and 1628.
