A later corrected draft containing a narrative of events in the French army from July 15-August 15, 1781, as well as a copy of the "Journal des Operations." It was on the 21st-23rd July that the French-American forces undertook operations against Kingsbridge, Morrisania and Throg's Neck. Recorded also are forays into the "no man's land" of Westchester (New Rochelle, Rye, Mamaroneck, Williamsbridge), a bombardment of Tarrytown, etc.
