Brazer Wilsey, Serg't, Co. D, 4th N.Y. Vols., aged 30, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 12th, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of left shoulder, the ball fracturing the head of humerus. Wounded, April 2nd, 1865, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Resection of head of humerus, by a straight incision through the long diameter of the deltoid muscle and about four inches of shaft removed. Operation performed on the field, April 2nd, 1865. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were tolerably good. Progressed favorably, but, no osseous formation had taken place up to date, July 11th, 1865., Brazer Wilsey., Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number 20,915., R. B. In front of a stone archway, one adult and two children sit behind a trunk upon which loaves of bread are stacked. All three are wearing white turbans and thick robes. Other people are visible in the background through the archway., and The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Soeurs Missionnaries de Notre-Dame d'Afrique (Soerus Blanches) - Birmandreis (Alger)." The back also contains information about the printer: "Cie Alsacienne des Arts Photomecaniques. - Strasbourg."
