- Binding: Original quarter binding on two split leather thongs, square-edged beech boards; white pigskin decorated with blind-tooled fillets. One decorated brass clasp attached to the rear board, with a decorated brass catch fixed with three nails to the front board. The binding is reinforced with a strip of parchment cut from a ca. 1100 missal (?), decorated with versals and plain initials in red and a 5-line Romanesque initial in red with blue tendrils on a liquid gold background., Rubrics and underlining, versals and 2-line (3-line on f. 25r) plain initials, all in red. On f. 5r a 3-line initial at the opening of Ps. 1 is not executed. All decoration is missing on ff. 23v, 24bis r, 119bis r, f. 125v, line 12 to the bottom of f. 126r, ff. 137r-143v. On ff. 133r-136v there are rubrics (in pale red) but no initials. No guide letters., Script: The main part of the codex (ff. 1r-132v) is copied by a single scribe writing a bold and compressed small Gothica Semitextualis Libraria. Ff. 133r-143v and the two inserted leaves 24bis and 119bis are copied in a larger and less careful hand using the same type of script., and Watermarks: (1) Cardinal's hat, var. Briquet 3397 (1479-1494); (2) and (3) Bull's head, var. Briquet 15373 (1488-1501).

- Binding: ca. 1500. Blind-tooled brown calf over wooden boards, both covers decorated with twice a panel containing two rows of four animals in tendrils in a frame of 16 dragons in tendrils (the so-called 24 Animals panel), separated by a frieze with the Peasants' Dance. Spine with three raised bands. Remnants of two clasps.The pastedowns are two parts of a document in Dutch on parchment (a large section between the two is missing) datable 25 August 1443. It is a chirograph in documentary cursive script, stating that before the court of Geraardsbergen ("Gheerondsberghe", Fr. Grammont, East Flanders) parties have promised to pay a debt of £ 200 in eight instalments over the next four years, 1443-1446. Among the persons mentioned are Heinrik den Haec (?), the lady de Tiennes, the aldermen of Edingen (Enghien, Hainaut?), Collaert van den Foreeste, alderman of Geraardsbergen and Coppenole, counciller of the same city. The design and letters appearing at the top and at the bottom of the document prove that it was made in three copies., Rubrics, underlining and paragraph marks in red; red stroking of majuscules. 1-line versals and 2-line plain initials in red. 2-line flourished initials alternately red and blue ; cadels with red heightening on the pages with musical notation; 3- or 4-line litterae duplices with penwork extensions in red, blue and green on ff. 1r (art. 1), 18r (art. 5), 40r (art. 6), 46v (art. 7) and 86r (art. 11)., and Script: The main scribe (A) wrote Gothica Textualis Formata on ff. 1r-46v, l. 4 (with the exception of f. 39, where another hand wrote a smaller Gothica Textualis Formata). Hand B wrote Gothica Hybrida Formata (Bastarda) on ff. 46v, l. 6 - 87v, l. 4 (artt. 7-11). Hand C copied ff. 88r-94v (art. 12) in Gothica Textualis Formata. F. 95 is 16th century addition copied in a clumsy Gothica Semitextualis. The musical notation is a variant of the Hoefnagel type. There are several later additions of music and text.

- Binding: Eighteenth century. Brown calf over wooden boards, blind-tooled. Five very small, round bosses on each board and two fastenings. Rebacked. Pastedowns and flyleaves are conjugate leaves from a gradual (Italy, 16th century): front pastedown hidden under bookplates; front flyleaf with parts of the third Christmas mass and the rubric for Circumcision; back flyleaf with part of the first Christmas mass; back pastedown with parts of the mass of Epiphany., One 9-line initial, f. 1r, St. Saturninus holding an open book and martyr's palm, three-quarter length in front of trees and sky, dark blue with white filigree; purple foliage against a gold ground edged in black, with curling purple, green, and gold foliage extending into margin. Full border, framed in blue and gold, with three roundels in lower margin, right and left, hour glasses with scrolls with the motto "Pan. se. de. moi.", center, a coat of arms (barry of 6, sable and argent; overall a bend or). In upper margin, at right, a smaller roundel with a duck; at center, a Greek cross in gold, on purple; each framed in gold with blue or purple. Some foliage, as in initial, in center outer margin; border otherwise filled with blue and purple flowers with red and green centers, symmetrically disposed with smaller blue, purple, and green flowers, blue, purple, red and gold dots and fine spiralling vines in light brown. 2-line initials throughout, red or blue with blue or red penwork, with flourishes. 1-line red or blue paragraph marks. Rubrics throughout., and Script: Written by one person in round gothic bookhand.

- Manuscript on paper (unidentified watermarks in gutter; upper margin, trimmed) of a Ritual, possibly written for a nunnery.
- Description:
- Binding: Sixteenth century. Original sewing on three double, tawed supports laced into the wooden boards. The spine is heavily rounded, with the sewing supports well defined by blind-tooled lines. Covered in dark brown calf with a panel of the Annunciation, in a border of birds, animals and flowers blind-stamped on each board inside outer frames of lines. There is a brass catch on the upper board and a long, thin brass clasp on a leather strap attached to the lower with a brass plate. The leather is slightly torn at the head of the spine but otherwise the book is in fine condition, with no trace of sophistication. Front and back pastedowns from a 15th-century Latin liturgical manuscript., Calligraphic initials, 5- to 3-line, in green or red with red or grey flourishes, often extending the length of the written area. Initials, 3- to 1-line, underlining, strokes on 1-line initials, and headings in red., and Script: Written by three people in what Lieftinck calls Littera brevitura. Scribe 1, ff. 1r-87v and 98r-153v, writes in a large and rather careless hand; 2, ff. 90r-97v, in a small even hand; 3, ff. 154r-272v, in a large uneven hand.
