Binding: Wrapper, probably modern, consisting of a piece of old parchment, perhaps cut from the blank portion of a large document with a fold and some slits, the modern sewing penetrating the back., Capitals in red, blue, or green at paragraph beginnings, mostly plain, but some with slight extensions; a large capital in red and blue with green tracery at beginning. Diagrams and drawings in red ink, mostly accompanied by text in brown, often with the text forming a part of the design, on parts or all of ff. 10v-17v., and Script: Neatly written in Gothica Textualis, mostly very regular and small, sometimes minute, with various additions by similar and later hands.

Collection of six letters from Asger Jorn to Edouard Jaguer and nine black-and-white photographs. Letters discuss the avant-garde art movements COBRA and the Internationale des Artistes Expérimentaux, artists affiliated with these groups, including Pierre Alechinsky, Corneille, and Christian Dotremont, and other topics. Two letters accompanied by manuscripts on the "Programme de l'organisation IAE" and "Au sujet des qualités artiste...". Six photographs record a 1953 visit by Jaguer to Jorn's studio in Silkeborg, Denmark. In addition, there is a photograph by Lars Bay of a ceramic plate made by Jorn and Jaguer, "La sirène du nord," in the Silkeborg kunstmuseum.

Binding: Fifteenth century, Italy. Sewn on four tawed skin, slit straps nailed in channels on the outside of wooden boards. Yellow edges. Pink, green and cream endbands sewn on five cores. Covered in dark red goatskin with corner tongues, blind-tooled with a central ornament in a panel bordered with rope interlace in concentric frames. Two fastenings, leaf-shaped catches on the lower board and the upper board cut in for the clasp straps. Rebacked twice., Purchased from L. C. Witten in 1955 by Thomas E. Marston., Script: Written in an elegant, upright mercantesca script by a single scribe, below top line., and Spaces for headings and decorative initials remain unfilled.
