"Missions Salésiennes. Indes I. 1. Hindou musulman." This man wears a turban on his head, is smoking a pipe, has a beard, and looks off to the side. The caption indicates that he is a Hindu Muslim.
"Series XI. - 6. A Hindu Princess." A young Hindu princess stares sideways at the camera. She is wearing traditional clothes and a lot of jewelry. Particularly prominent are the pieces of jewelry that she wears on her head, in her nose, and around her neck. Additional information on the back notes that postcard profits benefit Industrial Schools in India.
"Missions Salésiennes. Indes I. 2. Bonne vieille grand'mère hindoue." A Hindu grandmother sits cross-legged on the floor, holding a small back in her hand. She is wearing a large scarf around her body. This postcard was printed in Lyon, France, and the back lists an address to which donations may be mailed.
"9. Cathéchistes Missionnaires de Marie-Immaculée Kumbakonam - Hindoustan [Hindustan] Sanyassis (Religieux païens)." Three men and three boys stand together in front of piles of brush. Two of the men have walking sticks and the third carries a small pot. The caption indicates that they are Hindu mendicants. The postcard also notes the publisher as, "Regnault, Photo - Orléans."
